The CEO Dinner series is one of the organization longest standing institutions. Each month our Professional Members have the opportunity to join a local company's CEO and courageous Community leaders for a private dinner. These events are intentionally limited to 15 to 20 people, so everyone has a chance to listen, learn, share and grow together through an inclusive discussion.
Attendees can make connections with the CEO and the other driven young professionals in attendance. The speakers represent a wide range of companies and industries, and whether big or small, public or private, well-known or niche, good conversation is had by all. About Dr. Rebecca Starck, MD
Dr. Rebecca Starck is President of Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital. She was appointed in this role in 2014 to oversee planning, transition and activation of the new hospital that opened in 2016. Dr. Starck is responsible for ongoing oversight of quality, safety, hospital operations and clinical service line development. Since opening, the hospital has undergone several successful Joint Commission Surveys, has received primary stroke certification, and has achieved level 2 Geriatric ED status as well Magnet designation. The hospital has been recognized as a 5 Star Healthcare facility by CMS and as a top performer as rated by Vizient.
Prior to her role as President of Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital, Dr. Starck was elected as the Chair of the Regional Department of OB/GYN for the Cleveland Clinic in 2010. In that role, she was responsible for clinical operations, strategic planning, quality and management of approximately 85 OB/GYN physicians practicing throughout Northeast Ohio. During her tenure as Chair of Regional OB/GYN, Dr. Starck added significant growth to the Certified Nurse Midwifery Program in addition to developing a robust advanced practice program. Key initiatives included formation of the mulitdisciplanary Infant Mortality task force team as well as initiation of the Opiate Task force for Pregnant Patients.
In addition to her operational and clinical leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Starck has served on multiple external boards and committees. She served on the Executive Board of First Year Cleveland from 2018 – 2021, she continues to serve on the Three Arches Foundation Board, the Lorain County Community College Board of Directors, the Lorain County Health Improvement Steering Committee as well as the Second Harvest Board of Directors. Dr. Starck has provided key leadership in the Lorain County Community response to the Covid pandemic in collaboration with municipal and school based leaders.
Dr. Starck has been practicing OB/GYN in the Cleveland area since 1999, she joined Cleveland Clinic in 2005. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Starck received an undergraduate degree and Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan, and completed her residency at William Beaumont Hospital.
