In the fast-paced digital age chronic stress is an epidemic, leading to increased risk of health problems including heart disease, mental health issues, weight gain, and cognitive impairment. Evidence-based stress management tools create healthier, higher-functioning employees and organizations.
Workshop participants will learn how the scientifically supported practice of mindfulness decreases stress and improves resilience, health, and overall well-being. Dr. Onder explains the logic of stress responses, the impact of cognition, and the benefits of mindfulness in managing everyday stressors. Interactive discussion, personal reflection, and a brief guided meditation are included.
Dr. Onder is a work-life psychologist, career coach, and founder of WorkLife CLE. She is passionate about advancing the quality of professionals’ work lives as evidenced by her research in career development, mindfulness for stress reduction, and flexible work arrangements. Prior to coaching she worked in Fortune 500 talent management and consulting. As a career and life success coach, she empowers hard working professionals to do what they love and love what they do.
